District 9 Area Nets

The ARES® District 9 Network of Stations serves the Cumberland River Valley Region of South Central and Southeast Kentucky as well as parts of East Tennessee on at least a part-time basis using the following “Network of Modes, Nodes and Stations“.

These are the listed nets that take place within the District 9 Operational Area.

All repeaters listed in Bold Red Print are EchoLink® capable and listed as callsign-R or callsign-L (e.g., KE4GJG-R or WA4ROB-L).

Please note: Whenever using EchoLink, remember to limit your transmissions to 60 seconds to avoid timing out the repeaters.

Go to echolink.org  for more information and to register your callsign. Once validated, you can download the program for use on your PC and/or go to the app store for the free app to use EchoLink® on your Android® or Apple® smart device.

  1. The KM4EOC repeater is listed as KF4REN-R on Echolink®.
  2. The KE4YVD repeater is listed as KY4OZ-R on Echolink®
  3. The WA4YZY repeater is listed as WA4ROB-L on Echolink®
  4. All other EchoLink repeaters are listed by their callsign, followed by a “-L” or “-R”.

In the event repeaters are unavailable, emergency communication operations may take place on 146.550 MHz Simplex and/or on another simplex frequency as an ARES® Emergency Coordinator may direct.
